AmaSuite 4 Review: The Ultimate Guide to Finding Profitable Products on Amazon

Have you identified a potential market idea that you'd like to build an Amazon affiliate site around, but aren't sure exactly what types of products you should be reviewing and promoting?

Knowing which types of products you should be promoting is absolutely crucial in making sure that you'll have a successful Amazon niche site.

In today's post, I want to show you one piece of software that I use every time I create a new niche site, and how it simplifies and expedites the entire process of finding which types of products I decide to write about.

Use: Finding Profitable Products to Review

Usefulness

Find best-selling and high-priced products instantly.

Usability

Takes less than 10 minutes to really get the hang of it.

Price

Premium product priced at $297.

Speed

Generally fast though slow with some tasks.

Bottom Line: AmaSuite 4 is a premium software package that I use to identify high-ranking and profitable Amazon products before building out all of my niche sites. It allows you to quickly and easily find which products you should create your reviews around.

In this review, I will demonstrate to you exactly how I use AmaSuite 4 to zero in on profitable products and product-keywords to ensure I'm promoting the right items on my sites.

In the last post, we went over how to use the Empire Flippers marketplace to find potential markets to enter when creating a new site. You'll remember that we determined that "exercise equipment reviews" was a niche worth diving deeper into.

What was so appealing about the exercise equipment niche?

Well, based on the Empire Flippers listings, there were several sites in that niche that had already been sold, and were earning anywhere between $500 to $4,000 per month. So this is definitely a niche worth giving a closer look.

If you haven't read that post yet, be sure to check it out before you read any further here, because today's post will be a continuation of what we covered then.

Special bonus: I have created a report using AmaSuite 4 showing the Top 100 products in the insanely profitable "Power Tools" category, filtered by a price of $25 or more (85 total products). Use this report to start your research into promoting any of these profitable products on a new niche site.

What Is AmaSuite 4?

AmaSuite 4 is a collection of four different pieces of software developed by Chris Guthrie that allows you to identify best-selling and profitable products on Amazon to sell on your niche sites. We're going to focus on three of the software tools here today.

There is a ton of more information over at the sales page, and there's really no point of me just re-creating it over here. So have a look over there at all the details.

Instead of just telling you what the software is, I'm going to show you how I use it to build out my niche sites.

Azon Top 100 Analyzer

By far the most useful piece of software included in the suite is the Azon Top 100 Analyzer.

What this does is quickly allow you to find the top-selling products in any product-category on Amazon, and then can be used to extract and analyze all of the data so you can determine which products you want to promote on your niche site.

Here's how it's described on the sales page.

Let's hop into the software. Remember, we're going to be using our "exercise equipment" market that we pinpointed in the last post.

Drilling Down to a Sub-Category

When we fire up the software, we're taken to the above screen.

In "Step 1", we choose the drop-downs I've selected above.

In "Step 2", we need to choose our category. You'll see there are two ways of doing this: the "Quick Select" method, or the "Manual Select".

The Quick Select allows you to choose a category, and a sub-category, but you can't drill down any farther than that. Using our example, you can choose "Sports & Outdoors", and then one of the sub-categories, but that's as far as you can go.

Which is why I like to use the "Manual Select" option. This allows you to drill-down as far as you like.

Hit the "Categories" button, and this will bring up a web browser within the software, taking you to Amazon.com. From there, you can navigate to the exact sub-category that you like, which I've illustrated in the steps below.

So I've drilled-down all the way to the "Cardio Training" sub-category, to help us find some products to promote in the exercise equipment niche.

Hit the "Add" and "Done" buttons, and then we're taken back to the main screen, with our exact sub-category selected.

We hit the green "Play" button, and we're ready to rip.

Filtering Options to Find the Perfect Product

Alright, now we're talking.

What you're looking at above is a snapshot of all the Top 100 products in the "Cardio Training" sub-category.

I've minimized some of the columns, but the most important ones are: Rank, Title (product name), Sales Price, Commission (based on only a 4% commission!), Rating, and # of Reviews.

As you can see in the bottom left, there are the 100 total products, as in the Top 100.

But we don't just want any old product in the Top 100, we want ones that will pay us a decent commission! Luckily, AmaSuite 4 comes with some pretty impressive filters, that allows us to zero in on our products using a number of options.

Now, you can play around with the filters and choose whatever you want.

Personally, I want to focus on products that sell for $100 or more, meaning that with my 8% commission tier, I will be receiving a minimum commission of at least $8 for any of the products above that I sell through my niche site.

Again, you can choose any of the other filters, but that's the only one I select. I sort by "Rank" and as you can see above, we're left with 76 items.

So, to quickly recap: we are looking for products to promote in the "exercise equipment" niche, preferably ones that sell for more than $100, and have a category best-seller rank in the Top 100.

Finding an Exact Product-Type to Target

Right now, we have 76 options. But we still want to zero in one what types of exercise equipment. We need to drill-down in a little closer.

In this screenshot above, I've re-sorted by Sales Price, so I'm viewing the products in the Top 100 with the highest commissions.

What I'm doing here in this step is simply scanning the products on the page, to see if anything jumps out at me, and if there is any kind of related "product theme" that I can start potentially building a niche site around.

And as you can see from the yellow arrows above, something has jumped out at me: there are several products in the Top 100, selling for hundreds of dollars each, that are elliptical machine-related.

Reporting Function Capabilities

If you prefer to view your results in a spreadsheet, or an html file, AmaSuite 4 has a reporting function which allows you to export your results.

Here's how it looks in an html file.

And here's how (part of the) the .csv file looks, after I've pasted it into a Google Docs spreadsheet.

Special bonus: Want to see a FULL Google Docs report, showing the Top 100 products in the crazy profitable "Power Tools" category, filtered by a price of $25 or more (85 total products)?

Using the Search Function

Now, it's time to use the search function inside of the Azon Top 100 Analyzer.

I hit the "Instant Search" button and type in "elliptical".

This narrows down our selection to 12 items that we can potentially promote, all inside the Top 100 category, and all selling for $90 or more. (Note: I'm not sure if using the Search function then removes the $100 sales price filter, but that seems what has happened above).

I've put a box around the items above with a good amount of reviews, but that's not really important, as there can be newer items that are selling really well, but just don't have a high number of reviews yet because they are so new. Which is why the "Rank" column all the way over to the left-hand side is so important.

This is a tremendous start, and tells you EXACTLY which items are selling!

Azon Product Inspector

As I mentioned, AmaSuite 4 comes with four different software products, and what we've been using up until now is the Top 100 Analyzer.

But I want to jump into another piece of the software, the Azon Product Inspector, to see if there are any other elliptical machines outside of the Top 100 that we also want to take a look at.

Instead of repeating all the features from the sales page, here's a screenshot.

This gives us even more products to analyze.

As you can see, I've doone an exact match search for "elliptical machine", and have filtered the Sales Price to $100 or more, and what I have now is 272 different potential elliptical machines that I can analyze!

Analyzing the Product Page on Amazon

Again, you can use the Product Inspector to find even more products in your niche to promote, but I like to stick with the Top 100 tool, as it gives you the items that are currently selling really well.

So let's go back to the Top 100 Analyzer and see if we can't pick out an actual product that would be good to promote.

The first product that gets my attention is the third item on the list above: the elliptical machine selling for $577 with the potential of a $46 commission from a single sale at my 8% commission tier. (Remember, the Commission column is calculated using only the 4% tier).

It also has a 4.0 star rating, 244 reviews, and a category rank of 14!

This is really the beauty of the AmaSuite 4 software. It delivers to you on a silver platter all the types of products that would be perfect to promote on your niche site, quickly and easily!

So let's click the product link from the software, and head on over to the Amazon product page.

We want to look for a couple of things here: verify a high price point, a large number of reviews (more than 100), and the "answered questions" box, which tells us that potential customers are talking about this item.

This particular elliptical machine passes all the tests, and would be a perfect product for me to promote on my niche site!

Let's scroll down the Amazon product listing a bit more.

What we're looking for above are two things: 1) are there recent reviews on the product, meaning people have been buying it; and 2) are the reviews generally positive, or do the customers not recommend the product.

As you can see, for this particular elliptical machine, there have been recent reviews written about it, and they are definitely positive!

Azon Keyword Generator

The third piece of software that I want to quickly touch on in the AmaSuite 4 package is the keyword generator tool.

While knowing exactly which types of products to promote is terrific, we still need to target these products on our niche sites with the right keywords.

To be clear, the Azon Keyword tool is not meant to provide search volume or analyze the competition (that's what Long Tail Pro is for), but to give you a big list of seed keywords that you can use to jumpstart your keyword research.

Here's (part of) the product description from the sales page.

So let's open up the software and take it for a quick spin.

You can enter as many seed keywords as you want (top left), but I don't want to overwhelm myself, and I already have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for, so I just enter "elliptical machine" and hit the green "Play" button.

As you can see, what the software is doing is using Amazon's predictive search function, and populating all the results on a single, easy-to-read page.

So instead of manually going over to Amazon.com, and typing in "elliptical machine a" to see what keywords pop up, and then repeating that for every letter in the alphabet, and then writing down all the keywords, AmaSuite 4 does it all for you, in a matter of seconds.

The best feature of this tool is that you can then simply copy all of your keywords, and then paste them into Long Tail Pro (Platinum). Now you will automatically have your first keyword campaign to use!

So that's basically how I use the software to come up with highly-ranked, high-priced, profitable products to sell on my niche site.

There are a TON of other features included with the software suite, however.

Other Features of AmaSuite 4

I'm really not exaggerating when I say that there are too many additional features and bonus products included in AmaSuite 4 to write about in this review, that may not be exactly aligned with building out niche sites, which is my focus here.

So I do encourage you to check out the sales page, if only to see what I've left out in my review here.

But I do want to highlight one of the special included bonuses, which I think WILL help out anyone looking on building and improving their Amazon niche sites.

Amazon Affiliate Training Course

As I mentioned, AmaSuite 4 is the brainchild of Chris Guthrie, who many of you already know about. Chris has had tremendous success selling on Amazon, both as an affiliate, and with his own private-label products. He knows what he's talking about.

Well, Chris has created a pretty comprehensive video course on how to be an Amazon affiliate. It's a 10-step module that covers everything from researching your niche, setting up your site, how to write your product reviews, and how to drive traffic to your niche sites.

And it's included absolutely free as part of the AmaSuite 4 package.

This would be an ideal course for anyone just starting out with Amazon niche sites, or anyone that has a site, but hasn't been seeing a lot of success.

Should You Buy It?

Clearly, as you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of the AmaSuite 4 software. It works extremely well for me, both for when I'm building out a new niche site, and also when I'm building out a new money page on an existing site.

But is it the right product for you?

It really depends on what state of the niche site process you're in. If you're a true beginner at the very first stages, it might not be necessary to invest nearly $300 if you don't know yet whether your site is going to be a success.

But if you're a veteran niche site builder, or if you have a site that's bringing in a little bit of income already, and you're looking to expand, then yes, I can recommend this product for you.

I'm a big believer in streamlining my processes, so I'm spending my time on the most important factors of my niche site business which cannot be solved by automation. I outsource nearly every aspect of building out my sites, and that's really been part of my success.

Can you manually pull all of this information yourself, by going onto Amazon, clicking into the individual product categories, and onto individual product pages, and then gathering all the information by hand in a spreadsheet?

Yes, you can. But for me, increased efficiency and saving time is much more important for my niche business.

Conclusion

As you can see by the level of detail I've gone into with this review, the AmaSuite 4 software suit really is a killer set of tools that allows you to quickly and easily find profitable products to promote on your Amazon affiliate niche sites.

To recap, with AmaSuite 4 you get:

  • An incredible suite of software that allows you to pinpoint which product-categories and which products specifically you should be zeroing in on, all in an extremely fast set up.
  • The Azon Top 100 Analyzer that quickly gives you the top 100 best-selling products in any category, in a matter of seconds.
  • Robust filtering options which allows you to focus on exactly the types of products you want, broken down by price, # of reviews, and best-seller rank, etc.
  • Search and reporting capabilities which makes finding and analyzing the perfect products a breeze.
  • The Azon Product Inspector, which provides you with even more best-selling products outside the top 100, in an easy-to-digest format.
  • Azon Keyword Generator that allows you to generate a giant list of seed keywords to paste into Long Tail Pro.
  • A host of other features and bonuses, including the Amazon Affiliate Training Course.

AmaSuite 4

Summary: AmaSuite 4 is one of only a handful of tools that I use EVERY time I create a new niche site. It expedites and simplfies the entire process of choosing which products to review and promote on your niche website.

So that about does it for this review.

In my next post, I will go over in detail how I then use the seed keywords that we've generated for our specific product here, and plug them into Long Tail Pro, in order to do the proper research and competitor analysis for building out our niche site.

Stay tuned, and feel free to leave any comments or questions below. I try to respond to every one!

Great post review Mike, I bought AmaSuite 4 a coulple of months ago and been testing but not with a product or niche in mind yet until this week to start searching seriously on this kind of business.

The tools are great as you mention which saves you tons of time searching for that niche you’re looking for.

I think all these tactics can work well as part of one major research: Empire Flipprers (or maybe Flippa too) AmaSuite 4 and Long Tail Pro or Market Samurai. That’s a solid starter point.

Big thanks Mike for the special bounus in the “Power Tools” category too. Sure I’ll take a look at it.

    Hi Miguel,

Yes, it really is a nifty tool. For me, with certain processes, it’s all about streamlining and making them more efficient. And you’re right, this software does work really great in tandem with Longtail Pro.

Awesome stuff. I followed through lot of your articles. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I am starting with my first ever amazon review niche site and was wondering if it would be a good idea to invest in this tool. I am really skeptical about putting in lot of money as this stage. Any advice, please?

    Hi Raj,

Unfortunately, I do not offer personal finance advice on this blog 🙂

Only you can decide what you can spend your own money on, not me.

Personally, when I first started out, I considered my first site an “investment” where I was willing to spend $x amount of dollars on the project. And if it failed, then at least I tried, and it was an investment that didn’t work out.

But it did work out, so I’m glad I did it.

Thanks for your kind reply, Mike. I gave serious thought about it and realized that saving time and improving on efficiency is very important. And, this time can be utilized better on creating the content or doing better SEO. I totally agree with your line “Personally, when I first started out, I considered my first site an “investment” where I was willing to spend $x amount of dollars on the project. And if it failed, then at least I tried, and it was an investment that didn’t work out”.

Thanks again for your advice. I am literally following your blog to work on my niche site.

Yes, that was my thinking exactly. There are thousands of people out there starting real small businesses every day, investing more than six figures into failing restaurants and other ventures, never to make a dime. So I figured I could spend a few hundred on a niche site and see what happens, and I’m sure glad I did 🙂

Great review and it helps a lot, but do you write all your own reviews or do you outsource this task?

I can’t tell if this is a serious question or not 🙂

Of course I write my own reviews, why would I outsource my own blog?

Hey Mike, I hope you are doing great. I have one doubt related to your post – “What I’m doing here in this step is simply scanning the products on the page, to see if anything jumps out at me, and if there is any kind of related “product theme” that I can start potentially building a niche site around.”

what did you meant by “product theme” here?

Thank you.

    Hi Raj,

Product theme = would it make sense to build an entire site and/or money page around it?

If I’m building a survival knife site, and see two different knives, obviously that would work.

If I see one knife, and one flashlight, those two probably don’t belong on the same money page.
